About Me

Born on the Fourth of July, my family should have known I would be a firecracker for it's the day when most Americans celebrate our nation’s freedom. For my family that day was certainly a celebration, but in the weeks that followed, it was also filled with great fear and obstacles that many doctors were unsure I would overcome. Deep within me is a passion to help, to be able to make a difference in the lives of other sick children is what I set out to do. I have personally raised over $90,000.00 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. While my time supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is my personal priority, I also make sure there is time for other volunteer projects. I founded, The Toy Clean-Up Project when I was ten years old. Starting out with a garage sale and now on our 6th annual golf tournament. I hope you take a few minutes to read some of the amazing moments over the years.

My Good-Bye to William

Sweet William Murdock returned home to the loving, welcoming arms of his Heavenly Father on Sunday morning, May 27, 2012. His battle with cancer is over, but his legacy of faith, optimism, strength, patience, and adventure will live on forever. William was a friend of my little brothers. I was able to help out about a year and half ago by having the Toy Clean-Up Project provide William with a DS and games. I was told that it meant a lot to him, when Carson (my brother) took it to him in the hospital. However, it is boys like William that have helped me become the determined person that I am. The small things that we as people can do to make others have a smile on their face, even if it is only for a moment. My heart is heavy, my prayers are with William’s family and because of this I must work harder to love, help and find away to bring awareness to others about the importance of unlocking the cure to these killer cancers.
