About Me

Born on the Fourth of July, my family should have known I would be a firecracker for it's the day when most Americans celebrate our nation’s freedom. For my family that day was certainly a celebration, but in the weeks that followed, it was also filled with great fear and obstacles that many doctors were unsure I would overcome. Deep within me is a passion to help, to be able to make a difference in the lives of other sick children is what I set out to do. I have personally raised over $90,000.00 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. While my time supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is my personal priority, I also make sure there is time for other volunteer projects. I founded, The Toy Clean-Up Project when I was ten years old. Starting out with a garage sale and now on our 6th annual golf tournament. I hope you take a few minutes to read some of the amazing moments over the years.

I cannot say enough about everyone from the Folsom Kiwanis Club. They were fantastic. On December 3rd, I was so honed to be able to help and to get a chance to share my story. A special THANK YOU to Roderick Hunt for the note he sent to all the K-Club members:
“I want to especially thank my guest, Jr. Miss California, 2011, Miss Courtney Critz, who brought two more beauty princesses/queens with her to help. Their presence made the event more beautiful and elegant. Miss Critz' mother, Tiffany Tollett, is the owner of Crowns and Gowns in Folsom. Crowns and Gowns is a formal wear establishment specializing in pageant wear, but also provides business wear, special events and prom gowns. She donated a raffle prize for us as well. Her website is http://www.crownsandgowns.biz/.”
I enjoy the crab feed and helping all of you raise money. The Kiwanis are always helping so many people, I was happy to be apart of this.

I got a chance to spend Thanksgiving in Disneyland, met a new friend, watched an old friend reach her goal and had a great time with my sister titleholder. What more could I have ask for.....

I'm proud to say that The Toy Clean-Up Project once again was able to help out another one of my favorite charities, Teen Miss California Dedria Brunett, is the founder of Luggage of Love. I was able to donated 5 new pieces of luggage to her organization. I am thrilled that a single piece of luggage can change a child's life. This was such a special day for me. I was able to use some of the money that the Toy Clean-Up Project had earned to buy a WII and a DS for Kaiser Women and Children's Hospital in Roseville. This is a special place to me, not only was I a patient there, I am one of their success stories.

A Great Day

This is truly one of the most important post I've ever done. To be able to write a check to the St. Jude Children Research Hospital for $2000.00, was so incredible. Thank you to the Toy Clean-Up Project and everyone who played in the golf tournament, WE DID IT! I can't wait until next year to do it again.

Golf Tournament

As most of you know I founded The Toy Clean-Up Project three years ago. I want to be able to help children like myself who got a rough start in this world. I started by collecting toys and cleaning them up and then selling the toys at my
garage sale. The money was used to buy new toys, clothes and gas cards for the children in the hospital and for their families. I started making donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and I was even able to volunteer at one of their runs. St. Jude Children's Research Hospital touched my heart and I can relate to what the children are going through. My goal is to donate $5000.00 this year and continue to volunteer for them. I hope you can join me in making a difference Now, that God has given me a second chance I am going to take every opportunity to use my voice and help out others when they need it. I can remember when many people did this for me.
So on April 9th I will be having the First Annual Golf Tournament. It will be held at Woodcreek Golf Course, in Roseville. For more information PLEASE call 916-337-1202. We would love for you to come play a round of glof with us.

Happy New Years

The Toy Clean-Up Project, was happy to be able to give back to the Folsom community. I was able to provide food for the officers who protect and watched over us on New Years Eve. With help from Bar B-Que Express in Folsom, who supplied the Tri-tip and my Mom and Dad who helped me make the chili, pasta, dips and extras. We were able to provide a great meal for the officers. I am thankful for what they do for the community and was happy to offer this to them.
Once again my Toy Clean-Up Project, has helped me do something great for someone else. Thank you to all who helps me keep it going, I love doing it.
Bar B-Que Express is located in Folsom at 6693 Folsom-Auburn Road, 916-988-8659. Thanks to them, the officers didn't have to eat vegetarian style. My Mom does not do the Tri-tip meat very well...
